Chiba Prefecture with the total area of 5,156 square kilometers and the population over 6 million, lies adjacent to the capital city Tokyo and forms a part of the Tokyo Metropolitan area together with Tokyo and Kanagawa Prefecture. The Prefecture is home to the nation's gateway, Narita International Airport and has very well-developed infrastructure including the access from the airport and the public transportation.

Being a water-front-city surrounded on three sides by the ocean, the prefecture is filled with liberating air and has the colorful beauty and contrasts of all four seasons. There are many historic sites offering people the opportunity to get the flavor of Japanese culture.
