Chiba International General Swimming Center, opened in 1996, is one of the largest swimming facilities in Japan. The Center has been serving as a pool for all-year round use by as many as 3.5 millions of the citizens since its opening while it is used for many domestic competitions.

The center consists of a 50m main pool with 10 lanes, 2.0m depth, and approximately 3,700 spectator seats, a 50m warm-up pool with 1.2m - 1.8m depth, and a 25m x 25m diving pool with 5m depth. It therefore offers the perfect environment to this championships.
